A Manhattan grand jury has voted to indict former president Donald Trump for his role in illegal hush money payments to adult film star Stormy Daniels. This investigation has already led to the conviction of Trump’s former personal attorney Michael Cohen, who served a year of a three-year prison sentence.
This is the first time in our country’s history that a former or sitting president has been indicted for crimes.
The Brevard Democrats take no pleasure in seeing ANY United States president face felony criminal charges, even a debacle like Trump. However, we believe in building a justice system that is truly just, and this historic event is proof to the American people and citizens around the world that NO ONE in the United States is above the law.
